I didnt get to record the whole hour it took me to figure out how to get this damn thing off.. but a Pipe Wrench, oil filter, and extra set of hands work perfectly.. also buy a new polycut 7-3 head..

Here after watching the “Stihl factory video”...on how to change out poly blades on a trimmer that’s never been used!!
Thanks bro👊

A pipe wrench and an oil filter wrench....brilliant! It took me 2 minutes and no swearing. Thanks for the great idea!

Thank you for this information. It was the best! I just needed the pipe wrench and was able to twist the head off with my hand. Cussing didn't work...LOL!

Thanks for the vid! Didn't have an oil filter wrench. Was able to hold the white top from the edge with long needle nosed pliers. You gotta put in through the space between the black and white sections, hold tight and turn the pipe wrench.

Lol, yeah I think I have said mother f-er a few times as well...need to go get wrenches big enough to do the job. Thanks for the video

I can't get mine off either. I'm super pissed off and expected better from STIHL. Their locking system is 100% soft plastic and I am cracking the screwdriver hole / guard and gouging the plastic below. POS!

What if it just spins but doesn’t come off

The use of profane 4-letter vocabulary was unnecesssary. It significanlydowngraded the video,

We have been using 2 big pipe wrenches and we are big guys.

Gonna try to melt a socket into that plastic around the nut.
