Actually, drums, bass & rhythm guitar are all that’s actually needed to make a band. It’s the ego of the lead guitarist who always makes the condescending jokes while no band actually needs him. Drums, bass & rhythm guitar riffs are what makes all the fists pump & heads bang at a rock show. Lead guitar is just pretty window dressing. No one pays high ticket prices to go hear a 5 minute, drama queen, “look at me” lead guitar solo.
