Is Martin's Cheapest Guitar Worth It?

I have the LX2. Definitely made out of counter top material, but that’s what love about it. It sits out all the time on the couch. All my other guitars are hung up in a room. So I’m always playing the LX2. I have a 5 yo and I don’t have to worry about stickers being placed on it or her aggressive. strumming patterns. It’s perfect for what it’s made for. Heavy use/travel. I really like the Martin Retro Extra light strings for this guitar.

Often as not, what I use to get through packaging tape is actually a guitar pick, since that's more likely to be lying around than a knife when the post comes...

Of course, Martin guitars are not known for being inexpensive.. wouldn’t a comparably priced Yamaha be a better crafted/constructed instrument? Asking, not critiquing.

Is that considered a "parlor guitar?" I've been thinking about one for awhile. The Martin factory is at the other end of the state, yet I've never been there. I need to put that on my bucket list before I die.

It sounded like a uke at times but I agree that it would be great to have or take anywhere . I also agree that there are also better cheap guitars out there, the name Martin carries a lot of clout

Not worth it unless u want that specific size. Just get a Yamaha with a solid top, full size, less money

I'm afraid it's not worth the $$. You can get a whole lot more bang for your buck with a Yamaha.
