In this video I discuss 10 “hard truths” that no-one talks about that you learn when you become an entrepreneur. It’s not always sparkly instant success stories, angel investors, people showering you with contracts, affiliate deals, Patreon money and more clients than you can handle. In fact, there is a lot about being an entrepreneur and creative professional that is really, really hard. In order to become an entrepreneur, a successful personal brand or independent creative professional you have to face these hard facts and surmount them. How do you become an entrepreneur? Hard work, grit, determination and help from a supportive network. Don’t believe the myth of the “solopreneur”. There is no such thing.

It had been a rough battle at first but I love the entrepreneur life ... I remember living in Canada on a 5 month holiday and working from my laptop something I could not do on an hourly job. Theres are no limits. My hardest task was not managing money well and procrastinating. After loosing a couple of apartments and being homeless I stepped up my game. I am always on time with everything and I make sure to cultivate my business relationships I am not broke anymore. I am always learning and I understand that it's not about me as a designer it's about my clients. Thanks for this great info.

I'm a newly graduated designer, and would like to slowly start as a freelancer on the side before going full-time on my own. Where did you find your Mastermind or group of people? I'm really trying to learn how to move forward as both a creative and I'm business

Im solo right now cause I didnt find someone who I can trust enough with clients. Actually, I found one but he doesnt like to lead or anything. He wants to get paid job by job, nothing more attached... The struggle is real. =D Nice and brief video. I like your insights cause we can correct direction or adjust somethings by watching you. Thanks.

The lonelyness is a real concern. I've even started to teach english (I'm brazilian) to help me having more social interactions while making some extra bucks

I'm reading that Nepoleon Hill book now...!! Is just great..!! I hate that I'm a procrastinator so it's kinda hard cuz I'm not used to prioritizing. And I hate making decisions especially quick ones cuz I love to make sure everything's right. It literally takes me months to make a decision.

"The idea of solopreneuer is a myth" - goes on a T-shirt. Or at least over the bed. I would add one thing: check out your Twitter or Instagram once, or twice a day. No longer than an hour a day.
