I say, Shearer not winning it once with Newcastle Utd and still head and shoulders above the rest in the scoring department, is the biggest sad story of EPL history. Such a legend of the EPL. One of the fiercest first time stikes and rare to see someone with so much confidence as to hit them like belters into the corner from so far out.

As a lifelong Man United fan I still get stick to this day because Shearer is and always will be my favourite player!

Euro 96 will always be one of the best months I’ve ever had and Shearer made it that way. As a young 18 year old lad at that time I idolised him! And even when he didn’t join united I still saw him as the best in the business!

I’ve always had a soft spot For Newcastle since and cheered every goal Alan scored.

When the song rang out at O.T cheer up Alan Shearer I was the one united fan who never joined in!

I was 9 when we signed Shearer n I remember being at St James’ with my dad when he came out onto that balcony, it was magic it really was, i idolised this man growing up like so many and this video brought so many wonderful memories flooding back! Excellent video 👍

Shearer doesn't get the respect as a player that he deserves because he wasn't flashy or quick, but he had an almost magnetic relationship with the goal and to strike the ball so often with such power and accuracy is a special gift.
