J.K. Rowling Goes Silent as Imane Khelif Files Harassment Lawsuit Against Her (& Others)

Olympic gold medalist Imane Khelif named J.K. Rowling and Elon Musk in a legal complaint she filed in France following defamatory lies spread about her on Twitter. Khelif’s attorney is asking for Trump and others to be investigated for harassment as well. J.K. Rowling and others insisted Khelif was a “man” pretending to be a woman and have not retracted that claim even after it was thoroughly debunked. In this video we’ll talk about Khelif’s lawsuit and discuss how the cyberbullying she experienced impacted her mental health.

JK Rowling trying to defend women by pushing the patriarchal standards of what women 'need to be to visually be acceptable' via the male gaze and say they're not capable of doing what Imane Khelif has clearly done as a successful woman is doing nothing but reinforcing the glass ceiling with steel. The ultimate irony of course is that JK always claims that her transphobia is all in the support of "real" women. But the irony is that this has become a perfect example of how Transphobia as well as the lack of general LGBT+ rights, ends up often harming non LGBT people as well.

When you care so much about calling people out for acting "gay" or insulting women for being too "manly" and whatnot, you're going to inevitably be wrong in your judgement (and it'll probably happen often) and as a result now suddenly you're no longer just oppressing gay and trans people. You're oppressing the people you're allegedly trying to protect and restricting their freedoms because how dare they even do something that seems too butch or gay or whatever. Everyone, whether they're LGBT or otherwise, must now fit into your idea of gender roles and traditional values and now you're just oppressing nearly everyone

As a 6ft tall woman with a deep voice, I've encountered the "too tall to be a real woman" attitude and have empathized heavily with Imane's situation through all this. I can't imagine how it would feel adding on the fact that being trans is illegal in Algeria, that's a layer of terror on all those hurt feelings. I really hope ahe wins, I hope she drags them through as many courts as possible and makes every famous transvestigator broke because frankly "famous transvestigators" shouldn't even be a thing.

If she had a ‘makeover’ with makeup and hair done she would look lovely. But she doesn’t have to do that. She owes nobody that. She’s a gold medal Olympics athletes.
