This scene is what gives the line, "Count Dooku was a visionary!" some validity.

This is what Jedi are supposed to do. It's sad to see Dooku here and then remember how far he fell.

It’s makes a lot of sense why a lot of Jedi leave the order

Is it any wonder why Qui-Gon Jinn is such a well-received character? It's all partly because of Dooku's own examples that Qui-Gon was such a standout as a Jedi. He was a greater Jedi because of Dooku and it definitely shows here.

Senator- "Step aside, Jedi."
Dooku- "We cannot!"
Senator- "I. Am ordering you. TO SURRENDER THAT CHILD!!!"
Dooku- "No sir."

Yep, the VA for the senator also voiced Del Rio in Halo 4

Justice and Choices showed us that Dooku is what a Jedi should be. He cared about the everyday people and he had their best interests at heart, he didn't serve the elite and cater to them, he conducted an investigation after the death of a fellow Jedi because he knew from the start that what was said was a lie while his by the books partner bought everything and dismissed the obvious signs, he understood why the attackers did what they did and wasn't truly angry with them because he knew how rotten senators are and was already loosing faith in the Jedi. For all his flaws, Dooku really was a good person before meeting Darth Sidious. I believe that even if said name didn't corrupt him Dooku would still support and join the Separatists movement. Also you can see why Qui Gon refused to be part of the Jedi council. He was taught by one of the best.

Dooku's arc was the best in this tbh

Watching how the village people looks at Dooku after he says "we serve the people of this republic" just shows to us how Dooku was able to gather so many planets and galaxies to his cause. He was beloved by people way more than the Jedi were.

“There is no creature on earth half so terrifying as a truly JUST man.”

This scene, it stands apart from mostly any other I have scene in any movie to date.

The music, the atmosphere, the tension, the dialogue, the fight sequence, everything about it is so fantastic and powerful from a storytelling perspective.

The small details as well, such as when the Senator says "So be it. Ready!" the scene changes from a closeup to a further away shot and his voice changes from up close to echoing in the distance. Such detail was given to these things that it says a lot to the talent of those who created this.

He is a political idealist, not a murderer

Count Dooku was a great Jedi. He fell to the dark side because he was desperate for change, which eventually led him to losing the morals and values he held so dear.

This episode gives me chills. Incredible short storytelling and the dialogue and tension is on point.

Hit little close to home.

Government: “You serve us.”

“No, I serve the people of this republic.”

The subtle hesitations of the soldiers is a great detail

Dooku is the Star Wars universe's embodiment of the phrase: "The road to evil is paved with good intentions." He wanted to root out corruption, he wanted to make the lives of the people better, he wanted to empower the people. But he made a deal with the devil and lost himself along the way.

I bet people who knew Dooku as a jedi rallied to him as "the only Jedi who stood for the people" when he created the Separatists
