Here are 4 travel essentials I always pack in my personal item bag that I carry on to the airplane:
1. Peeps eyeglass cleaner and wipes for the sunscreen sunglasses
2. Fingernail file case
3. Thin RFID wallet (blocks technology that can steal identity info)
4. Waterproof deck of cards

In the bottom of my bag I also carry a compression bag with a couple shirts & underclothes in case of travel delays or lost luggage. A set of headphones/earphones for in-flight entertainment. Ginger candies for upset tummy and some sort of goodie to eat on the plane. An empty water bottle to fill once you are past TSA because hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. Also, a Turkish towel is handy as a blanket, to sit on if there is not enough seating in your gate area or if you have a little with you and need a designated picnic/play area for them.

I pack my adapter... sometimes those outlets on the plane are worn from use and your US plug won't stay in...use your adapter with the European plug to plug it in...gives a snug fit and then plug your phone or tablet charger into that!

I always pack pocket tissues, small hand sanitizer, pen/paper, altoids/candy/gum, and the items you suggested 😂👍🏻

my 4 essentials for air travel are:
my kindle.
a packaged snack (usually a granola bar)
my passport in a passport book
paper copies of any documentation.

I think from now on, we will pack all our electronics in the same case as medications, and our other carryon stuff in the other bag, so if we do have to check a bag at boarding, we can check the other bag, and because of the lithium batteries in the bag with the medication, it can't be checked.

It DOES MATTER IF ITS RFID. I had my card skimmed a few weeks ago and I was in a T.J Max in a small town when it happened . So PLEASE FOLKS.. make sure your wallets are RFID PROTECTED ❤❤❤❤

I keep those cards in my bugout bag. Along with a teeny tiny colouring kit. If I end up in a shelter during a weather emergency, etc., they can help calm someone who is anxious, especially children.

I was in a TJ Maxx a few years ago, not very busy when two older Russian women walked right up behind me and stood there obviously trying to scan me. I walked down to the middle of the next aisle and started looking at something, within two minutes they did the same thing to me so I turned around and glared at them, they understood me and walked away. Also was getting ready for work and looked down at my 10 inch IPad and there was a square in the upper right screen of a woman looking at something and she turned and started watching me and realized I was watching her, she turned it off. She definitely looked Russian (we have a huge community) but I was disgusted. About 9 months later I stopped at the supermarket, got out and 3 cars down noticed her, and it was her doing something in her car. I just stood about 9’ foot from her watching her, looked like she was on a laptop. I’m looking out for her now, I’ll take a photo of her car, license plate and her without her seeing me and report her.

I just came back from my 18day UK trip. I got a bag like yours but even empty it feels like 5lbs. I barely put anything in and if weighed it down. I don’t know if it’s more padded than yours? It did fit under the seat in front of me but on the way home I used a purse I bought from the store and packed this bag in my large suitcase. I also over packed on wipes and other things I just didn’t use. So I learned the hard way about “just in case” but my adhd brain wouldn’t settle. lol.
I also had to buy 2 new suitcases there that had round ball like wheels because going thorough streets with those single wheel (4 caster wheels) was horrible.
I think my best purchase was the alcohol wipes and a resealable silicone bag. I would wipe things down and didn’t have the residue like Lysol wipes have.
