Gibson 2016 Les Paul '50s Tribute T

For players who prefer a more vintage feel, this year’s Les Paul Studio fifties Tribute combines desirable features with an irresistible price.

It packs the prefect combination of a traditional mahogany body with modern weight relief and a grain-textured, satin finish maple top. These time-tested tonewoods with a set mahogany neck produce legendary Les Paul sound and resonance.

The neck sports a rounded fifties neck profile that traditionalists find so inspiring. The fretboard is made of a single piece of thick rosewood for seminal tone. A historically correct neck width and a dense Graph Tech nut make for a familiar feel with improved sustain.

The 490 R neck, and hotter 498 T bridge pickups showcase the full power of alnico magnets, faithfully recreating the experience of the original Patent-Applied-For humbuckers of the day.

Traditional green-key tuners blend vintage appearance with modern performance while an A-B-R adjustable bridge with stopbar tailpiece makes action adjustments and intonation a snap. This year’s Les Paul fifties Tribute T comes with a padded gig bag and is an exceptional value.

This is a very nice Les Paul. Just picked up the gold top yesterday, and can't keep my hands and eyes off her.

to anyone who is not sure about this guitar. get one while you can. epi's are nice i'm sure, but once you play a gibson, youll never go back. aside from my job, i have spent most my evenings playing my les goldtop. ive played so much, i think its time to change my strings.

It looks like Gibson got it right in 2016. I shared a few of my own thoughts and gave a quick overview on the 2016 Studio over on my channel. These "entry-level" Les Pauls are a great value for the price!

so glad they got away from the 2015 crap they made. I have a 2016 Studio Satin T series, and I love it. Can't quit playing it. I think one of these will soon be in my arsenal.

I now have GAS for a Les Paul. More specifically this one. Although I might do a pickup swap if I don't like the stock ones.
I'm having trouble deciding which pickups to use the SD PG set, SD Slash set, or the Dimarzio Classic Rock set.

Thinking about purchasing this guitar, is it worth the $899?

Wow that's beautiful. And thank goodness Gibson dropped the 2015 crap.

Hi! I have the same guitar but i want to replace the g-force system with traditional tuners...Do you have to suggest replacements without the need to drill holes?

at 0:25 do they play that riff in every review they do?

This is a 50's tribute, so we're going to change the neck profile, make it lighter, and give it mediocre pickups. I really thought I was going to buy one of these, but after playing both, a Studio Deluxe IV is more than worth being almost twice the price.

1:52 says it's an ABR bridge???? Umm... no it's not. That's a regular Nashville bridge there fellas.

They should've made it a natural back

One thing about these guitars...if you're expecting the "baseball bat" neck, look elsewhere. They don't have it. Also, the neck pickup leaves a bit to be desired.

It needs better pickups and none weight relief. then you'd have killer Gibson Les Paul studio.
