I think keeping Gohan's potential his own is good. I have seen way too many what-ifs, where Goku or Vegeta were the Legendary Super Saiyans and their sons get that power. However, LSSJ isn't supposed to be genetic and only ONE LSSJ is supposed to occur every 1, 000 years. Best one by far.
