My issue with requiring the Bible is which one are you talking about? Which translation? Then if you allow the Bible, everyone else's Bible should also be allowed in including Satanists and witches, etc. The best rule is no religion in public school. Teach your kids about the Bible at home or at church.

This is exactly where I grew up so I'm not entirely surprised. That said, I'm slightly bummed out by their decision since the best case anyone can make against believing in the Bible comes from actually reading the Bible.

It should be evenly handled across the board. I'm fine with the Bible being banned in public school. Public schools shouldn't be teaching the Bible anyways.

In a way, teaching the bible in public schools is a good thing. It'll mean the kids will be exposed to how terrible that book really is.
