Bible ban? Utah school district reviewing the religious text after parent’s request | Rush Hour

A Utah law passed in 2022 is now being used to challenge dozens of books in schools across the state for material that is considered by some to be inappropriate and even pornographic. Since the law took effect, the Davis School District has had 81 requests to review books. One of the most recent: The Bible.

I have read the Bible (Old and New Testaments) cover to cover three times....and yeah, there some NASTY stuff in there! I had to read it in order to teach kids in Sunday School...and I definitely had to be careful what my kiddos read! Sleeping with your Dad while he's drunk and passed out? It's in there. Jerkin the gerkin? Yep. Peeping Tom David? Absolutely!

Freedom of religion?? The book of Mormon, the book of Islam, the Torah and religious writings of any kind must also be abolished. They all use topics, practices, ceremonies, etc. that someone will find offensive.
