This is exactly how main channel / second channel content should be done – the behind the scenes / 'detail' stuff on the second channel and the 'overview' stuff on the main channel. I love the introduction of the model too! Makes understanding the whole process so much easier and gives the second channel content way more context!

Brilliant. Love watching this project. Your neighbours must be very understanding of this. Nice of them to let you use their garden.

Those transitions from model to reality, beautiful.
Super interesting video Colin, the explanations and visuals were fantastic. I went to an MOD bunker in north London, hidden under a post office. It's disused as the membrane and concrete cracked, the water table floods the complex. All pipework, cables, ventilation and generators are rusted beyond repair from the damp. Be careful if you install the window in the car storage.

The transitions between real life and the model look so good! Great work all around!

Colin,
I am a structural engineer and I believe you have explained this in a fantastic manner. Your plain speak presents way better than something I would have done. Most engineers tend to go off on weird technical tangents that you have mostly avoided.

The model is fantastic !!!!

I love that there's value in watching the videos on both channels, because you get great detail on one and then you get excellent high level understanding on the other. No rehashing or clip show nonsense. Well done, Colin. The fact you outdo YouTubers who only ever sit down and monologue to webcam, given the extreme difficulty and expense of the content you make, is totally wild.

Very cool. I suggest adding a fog machine for when the car is raising up out of the ground. Add a little light to the fog to make it look cool.

Those cuts from the model to the real thing are genuinely pleasant to watch. Very satisfying.

Met Colin briefly at the Everything Electric show in London. While many might consider him eccentric or even slightly crazy, there is no doubt he is a skilled mechanical (and possibly civil?) engineer. His brilliant work has encouraged me to resume my decimal clock project. Basic mechanism working, but needs decent face (mechanical engineering!).

Those transitions between the scale model and the real house are incredible! I feel like the editing is often the unsung hero in these videos, and it's been especially tight in this series.

As a construction worker I love that there is absolutely zero corners cut and everything is completely thought out, very professionally done 👏🏻

Having a scale model to explain is the best unique aspect of your channel, and a lot of people really like the concept.

Not only is this the biggest DIY project on the internet, but also a display of the smoothest transitions.

This is by far the quickest I've clicked on a video. Always a great day when Colin uploads, I can't get enough

I love the model! It deserves a place of pride somewhere in the finished project. You should consider finishing out the model of the entire house too. Good rainy weekend project.

I really appreciate how detail-oriented Colin is while still being a chaotic punk. He's building something to last and having a blast. Love it.

error.
