Being from Maryland - when you said it taste like something between crab and chicken - you should definitely try Old Bay seasoning man! Rub it on snake meat. Sear it and throw it In your soup with veggies. Old Bay!
Another thing u might wanna try is to wrap bacon around it and smoke around 225F. Prevents drying out

Ok that first piece of meat made me think of Abalone, if you try to eat Abalone fresh from the ocean you might as well try eating a tire off your car. But slice it very thin and beat the crap out of the slices with a hammer then fry it up in some butter and garlic and you end up with a meal that is divinely decadent.
