A slightly older video of mine, but all still info I recommend for nervous fliers. Especially the last one--let the crew know if you're nervous! We are here to help!

I can't believe I made this video almost 2 year ago. Where does time go?? And why was my hair so dark?

Or cry in the arms of the poor person that ended up next to you cause you're on a great panic attack early into the flight and have like 6 more hours to go. I owe that lady big. She was my guardian angel that whole time

Definitely knowing all the sounds is very helpful and quite reassuring.

Also watch the flight crew, they’ll know better than anyone if something is or isn’t right. If they look like it’s business as usual and unconcerned, then you have nothing to worry about.

I luv sitting next to new flyers or nervous flyers. As a former dispatcher I can let them know what is happening of course that is after I ask them if they want the play by play. I also like talking to them about 14 CFR Part 25 on the requirements to build a transport category aircraft

I was very Scared when flying on a plane when I was 5 years old and I was traveling on southwest and they did give me A tour of the flight deck and that calmed me down

Last flight i was really nervous plus we had bad weather. I was checking the app for delays but we took off only about an hour late.

The pilot was amazing though. I asked him about the weather and he actually flew from the destination to the airport I was taking off from and he knew it was pretty bad (yikes when a pilot says the weather is bad)

He explained we are altering the route to avoid the worst of the weather.

whats normally about a 2-3 hour flight was a 4 hour flight as we went several hundred miles west to avoid the weather.

Pilot was great over the intercom explaining turbulence reports from nearby planes and when to expect a patch of turbulence and for how long. He also explained that this turbulence is no issue for the plane, it can handle it and he says there is no concerns the ride is a bit more uncomfortable.

Stellar pilot

Thankyou for making this. I hate flying as an adult. Always get so scared.

My first flight I was 12 and by myself, my mom had called ahead and spoke with the airline (was coming home from leaving my bestfriend who moved away)

Let me tell you, those flight attendants seeing a 12 year old girl alone and crying with a heads up, I was treated like a Princess. Bless them, I will never forget that.

Love Southwest Airlines- from my experience the flight crew has always gone above and beyond. ❤

This is very helpful. I haven’t flown since 1989 but I really love travel. Taking a ship is not always possible. Thank you for posting

I like watching Disaster Breakdown’s videos of aviation disasters. Knowing how something would actually go wrong, if it did go wrong is very calming. If you peek out the window and can see both of the engines/ wings and the flaps look ok, you’re good.

#6…take Valium and pass out before the plane takes off 😬
My fear of flying is so intense before I was medicated I will literally cry or scream the whole time 😬
Im a fantastic person to sit next to while flying…you won’t hear a peep out of me 😄
