What are your thoughts on my credit roadmap? What would you change if you were in my position?

Love your plan! That’s the best part about cards, we can pick and choose what we want based on our needs

I would get the Capital One Venture X (mainly because of the 2x on all other purchases and priority pass) over the Amex Platinum. For my situation, I can’t justify the steep annual fee of the platinum card which is basically a coupon book and some of the credits are divided and redeemed per month. Also, the platinum card only makes sense for me if I travel more than 3 times a year.

My credit card setup would be:
1. Amex Gold (currently have)
2. Capital One Venture X Visa
3. Chase Aeroplan Mastercard
4. Wells Fargo Autograph Journey Visa
5. Citi Strata Premier Mastercard
6. Bilt Mastercard (maybe if they introduce a welcome bonus offer)

All in the span of the next 2-3 years. My intention is to diversify my points ecosystem and transfer these flexible currencies strategically to airline and hotel partners.

Good luck! Can’t wait to learn more about your credit card journey and hear about your travel hacking experiences in the future.
