I started off on a Barbour international with a belt. then upgraded recently for a Barbour international Race parker, even with just a t-shirt underneath its still to warm for December 2020s mild winter.
Its always better to buy good quality second hand like Barbour, Levi's, Kango etc. etc . A quality lasts longer and B even when you buy second hand you can relist it and get your some of your money back on Ebay when you fancy a change.
I love the look and attention to detail you give on your review as no one else has done a review on the Duke .

I have this in black - great stylish jacket! Don’t think this is made in England, but still good quality. I emailed them, she said the classics and some others are and if I asked her which ones I’m interested in she’d tell me, the Bedale is which I have and that is great quality.

Really enjoyed that review, and the jacket. I just picked up the Barbour Ogston about a week ago and been loving it. Kinda wish I had of seen this jacket now, it’s over £100 cheeper and looks amazing. I was curious about the Filson jackets but thought you would be paying a premium for import and it’s always nice to support a British company 🇬🇧.

Hi! I love the review (and the jacket). One question on sizing: what height/weight are you? I'm 6', 185 lbs, so I'm normally a medium (and even own another Barbour in medium), but I've also seen the reviews online suggesting sizing up, so was curious what you'd recommend.

Belstaff nice as they are a horrendously expensive whereas with a Barbour I’ve got the Duke in Black and got a decent discount at John Lewis’s at £168 when compared to the normal retail of £209

I'm trying to decide between this and the Corbridge. I prefer the styling of the Duke but would like to know if the quilted lining is the same 50g weight quilted lining as the Corbridge? I have emailed Barbour but they have not yet replied.

I’ve had a Duke (green) for about four years. It’s been awesome; I’ve rewaxed it twice and it looks as good as new.

They are not winter jackets though. They’re a fairly slim fit too, so you can’t wear too many layers under them either.

Great review. I nearly got one last year. But I'm still holding out for a Filson Tin Cruiser Jacket. I could see you getting some Filson gear

Fantastic jackets. My only gripe with them (and Barbour) is they’re quite cloak & dagger with respect to location of manufacturing.

You’d think all Barbour jackets are made in the UK when in reality only a small amount of their ‘classic’ range is made in the UK, the rest are outsourced to other countries.

Location of manufacturing isn’t a problem but does leave some irritation that they claim to be a british brand but mislead you in to thinking you’re buying a UK made product.

Used to be a Barbour advocate until I tried on a Belstaff. Chalk and cheese between the two. Belstaff Racemaster and Gangster are good alternatives!
