Climbing My First Mountain In the Tatra Mountains!

Early train to Zakopane. Start hiking from Kuznice, into the Tatra mountains towards a mountain called Koscielec. I climbed this 2155 m mountain with some tough terrain at the end. Spectacular views, unfortunately no DJI drone flying..

That mountain is called Koscielec its 7070 ft high or 2155meters. Well done for first time.

Nice video. Thanks for posting. We are currently hanging around in Krakow after Coronavirus lockdown and i am dreaming of the mountains now. After watching this i'm thinking of either going for a day trip or maybe trying to stay overnight if any huts are open. I better do some research!! Thanks for the inspiration. What a beautiful place. My knees were aching watching you make the climb down. Reminds me of when I was 15 at school we did “The 14 Peaks” start off at Snowdon in Wales followed by 13 more peaks, slept on the top of Snowdon then got up at 3am to see the sun rise then did all the climbing and finished at 10pm😫 it was a killer, they gave us climbing boots and after the third peak I got terrible blisters so took them off and put my trainers on👍 The next day I was hobbling around because of those blisters. The crazy thing is you could either run or walk😧 I was young but not stupid, I wanted to enjoy the view and WOW what a view, nothing like mountains👌👍

Great idea with going to Zakopane. In my opinion Tatry is the one of the best places to visit in Poland, but in summer it gets very busy with people. I am just back from a mini bike tour in Scottish Highlands - very little tourists and very quiet, but it rains a lot :) in the middle of heavy rain I have met a very friendly lad from Holland. He was doing his 2nd month of European bicycle tour. I have told him about your channel.

Dude, first time in mountains and you went on Kościelec (I suppose)??!! You're a crazy man 😂 Tatras are basically Alpines. But kudos to you for not choosing an obvious route. You're probably exhausted, mountains teach you humbleness. You were lucky for having a good weather for a hike this long. It could get very dangerous real quick out there. High Tatras are not mountains for novices, but you were somewhat prepared at least. A lot of stupid people go there (wearing vans for example) and cause problems for themselves and other people. It's crazy sometimes. Oh btw you had to pay to go on the trail because it's a National Park so please next time don't eat the blueberries, everything there is under protection 😉 Hope you liked the trip, because those mountains are a breathtaking place for sure. But remember to respect them😊

A nice trip to the "Valley of Five Ponds". I love mountains Tatry. I see too many people are in them now. Thirty years ago it was better. ;-( I saw girls in high heels at the beginning of the tourist route, hahahahaha

There are many streets in London that are far quieter than that mountain. All credit to you for climbing it I don't think I would have bothered.
And nobody should have to pay to climb a mountain. 😠 At least it got quieter nearer to the top.
