Leon Trabuco's Gold

Leon Trabuco's Gold is the incredible true story of 5 men that saw desperation in the world and knew the night wouldn't last forever.

Leon Trabuco, Carlos Sepulveda, Professor Guzman Morada, Ricardo Artega, and Rafael Borega we're a group of wealthy Mexican men that realized that during the Great Depression the price of gold would skyrocket.

Leon Trabuco became the leader of this group after plans were set into motion. However without Professor Morada's connections in the U.S. this may have never happened.

After buying up as much gold as they could Leon Trabuco and his companions had it smuggled into the U.S. but never got the chance to sell it.

Watch to find out how and why they did this in today's episode on Leon Trabuco's Gold.

If I get 15 people commenting “subbed” or “yes please” I’ll redo this video with better audio just for you guys.

I did this video over a year ago and didn’t expect the random uptick in views but since I see so many comments talking about the audio. I’ll fix it if 15 of you ask for it!

You can't even hear the story because your music is so loud

Nice video. However, it is very hard for me to hear you speak as the music it too loud compared to the volume of your voice. Just a suggestion from a person that can't hear well with background noises. But other than that, your video is very nicely done, so thank you.

Just to clear up a couple things I noticed I missed… the gentleman talking at the beginning is Norman Scott. He’s been helping people like Ed Foster for 30 years.

The second thing is… the picture of the men is a representation and not the actual men involved.

Thank to everyone watching and subscribing, I hope you enjoy todays video! 🤠

I worked on this case a few years back and found the Mesa. Next to this Mesa is a small one that the plane landed on and took off from. The gold is buried in the west side of Mesa wrapped in wax. The pilot did not die, he knew the hiding spot also. He found out years later these guys got busted. When this pilot would take off he flew past the Mesa and saw these guys on the west side of Mesa digging a trench

The whole time I was in Albuquerque years ago, it was all I could think about. Hard not to think about it when you look out at the flat expanse as far as the eye can see.

Reasons this is a tall tale. 2/3 of the gold ever mined has been since 1950. 16 tons is an incredible amount of gold. Moving a ton a flight would have to be a very large aircraft and not a small plane. 16 tons of gold buried would hold it's own heat and act differently from the ground around it. The snow would melt over it faster or slower or lightning would strike it. BTW I thing lighting struck the tree the Fenn treasure was under because of the grounding effect. But I still LOVE hearing these stories, it's fun and let's you dream.

The end of the chase is always bitter sweet.

My guess is that this gold is long gone. Too many people knew where it was.

The way the rock was carved 1933 16 tons most likely has a clue as to where it is.Some slight deviation in certain letters may just give you the direction.

are you really a explorer or just a cloths salesman, do you own a jeep do you go out regularly looking for this treasure or do you research this treasure, I have a good idea where it could be buried if my hunch is right, I’m an adventurous person but I too am getting a little old but I still get around pretty good, are you still looking for the place?

I found a book by Google searching and it matches your information called the ghosts of new Mexico. Ever since I saw this story on unsolved mysteries I've found it quite interesting.

I've tried searching for Leon Trabuco through ancestry searches and I've not come up with anything solid but then again there were many hits. The trouble is in finding out a birth year to narrow down the searches. Do you think he could have had a slightly different name spelling?

Also allegedly, according to the book, if anyone ever finds the gold the us government would have a claim on it since it was smuggled into the country. If that's the case then it seems to be that it would be a fools errand and would lead to a hefty loss for your trouble.

If anyone ever does find it I would contact an attorney and not just rush forward to deposit it in a bank safe. That's the surest way to lose out.

I'm going to try searching court records about this. If there was an indictment in California there should be some records left behind but the trouble is finding out if these records have been electronically scanned.
