I don't know why I haven't taken this test yet. I work on this equipment almost daily, have worked in datacenters, wireless environments (macro and DAS), virtualization, etc. One thing I don't see mentioned often and I think it's still the case with Cisco, if you get your CCNA, CCNP, Security, etc all you have to do is retest for your highest level cert and your others renew automatically. So the higher up the totem pole you go, the easier it is to keep your lower tier stuff current. Best of luck out there future CCNA'ers!

A word of advice for someone looking to purchase network equipment. Be careful where and who you purchase it from. Buy from an authorized or trusted dealer because it could introduce malware to your network. If you do cheap out, put it in a sandbox so it cant affect your network or devices.

Well, I finished my studies back in 2011 as a network engineer, and since then, I only make stuff for my friends, etc. I work in the reception department of hotels, but it's really easy to do that job. In my place, it's hard to work in IT, so that's why I do this job. But now I plan to jump into action because not everyone can do this work. My first goal is to get the national certification, and after CCNA and much more, I could.

I wonder what jobs I can do as an entry-level employee once I get at least CCNA plus other certifications.

I will stay on this channel for the experience you share with us, plus your guides. Thanks, m8.

Just getting started with studying for my ccna. I have no job experience in the IT field. So far this stuff is coming naturally to me and I'm an excellent test taker so I think I will pass the exam just fine but I'm wondering if I'll be able to circumvent the super basic entry level stuff like working a help desk. My people skills are a little lacking. So far it seems like network analyst would be a good position to aim for but I can't seem to find a clear answer on if that's overly optimistic or not.

Just found your channel and it’s great! I did have a question for you : I currently have 1 year of help desk experience with a MSP and am a couple months into studying for my CCNA. I feel extremely confident I will pass, but do you think I need ‘lower’ certs such as A+, or Network+ to apply for sysadmin roles? Would it be any type of red flag if I apply with only 1 year helpdesk experience and only a CCNA cert? Appreciate your channel and videos!

Do you recommend going through the labs after completing all the course material? Or do you suggest going through the labs while going through the material?

I tried to study the CCNA 2 years ago....wit zero experience. Studied 4 hours a day or couple of months. Failed twice. Part of the problem was I was really overwhelmed with amount of knowledge you have to remember. Second, was the questions. I seriously only saw maybe 40 % of subjects I studied for. The rest were really strangely worded. I could not figure what the question was asking. It was as if a non English speaker wrote the test. I had to double check to make sure I took the right test.
I am seriously doubting I can pass this test without serious help. Gonn start with the IT fundamentals and work up from there.

Do you think getting this CCNA and a google IT cert would be enough to land a job?

Question for you bro. Do you think it’s even possible to obtain my CCNA with 1 month of studying for 5 hours a day ? Currently Security and network + certified. So not completely green.
