How to Connect a PS4 Controller to a Mac (Wired and Wireless)

anyone who came to this video because they are having trouble connecting wirelessly. if your ps4 controller is plugged into the wall and charging, it won't enter pairing mode. This is probably not mentioned anywhere because it's probably rare for someone to buy these controllers just to use with a computer, but in case someone else out there is having my issue. try unplugging it from the wall.

What's the cheapest controller for the Mac that's worth getting? It's for a very casual gamer, probably the occasional racing game or footy on the M1 Mac, hence cheap.

How to only charge it form Mac, while paring it with a different device like an iphone or ps4? my controller is damaged that it only works via cable and wanted to use it anyway as a spare. It seems not to be able to be unpaired from mac, using "share" + "ps button" or by hard reset.

I get my ps4 controller into pairing mode, a setting for a controller that ISN'T ps4 comes up and it wont connect. What am i doing wrong?

I have a ps4 controller that won’t show up for Bluetooth on any device. I don’t have a ps4 but it doesn’t show on my laptop or my iPhone. Is my controller broken? Also tried wired and my MacBook doesn’t recognize it. Any help is appreciated

No matter what I do, it keeps disconnecting immediately. I can't even get wired mode to work. I have tried different usb cables, disconnecting from bluebooth and repairing, nothing seems to keep it connected.
