every time i try to connect the ps4 controller it won't work i try everything but it won't work

It's something with the USB cables that might be preventing the connection. I simply used a different cable after an hour of hard resetting one of the none working controllers. Now it works, and I didn't use the original PS4 cable just a different cable all together.

The same problem up until last night you got to turn off your PlayStation turn it back on go to settings go to devices go to Bluetooth devices reconnect your controller that doesn't work to it and then hold the share button and the PlayStation button down for about 10 to 15 seconds and it should if everything goes right pop up in the Bluetooth list and then you shouldn't have any problem connecting from thereon I just watch the video last night it helped me so much

Hold down the power button on your console. Disconnect your power cord from the back of the console then plug the cord back in while having your ps4 controller connected to the usb. Turn on ps4. If it doesn’t turn back on try another controller. These steps worked for me.

It’s basically the usb cable problem ways to fix it is
1.replace cable with a new one.
2. Easiest way is hood the ps4 power button only 1 beep. Hold until it turn off, when it is off turn back on and 1 minute later it’s gonna work. (No usb cable required)
3. If it still really does not work then throw the ps4 into wall and really should work.

I finally found out how to fix it, it’s most likely the cord. I tried 3 different cords none worked but the 4th one did.

If your skeptical - the chord advise really works.... Sometimes i get the welcome to PlayStation screen, and its always randomly. This time my friend came over and i had the same problem aftwr he had left and i realized its gonna be even harder to bypass the screen with the controller not even already connected to the PlayStation... So i ended up trying more of a "data cable" as someone mentioned below... Its a usb year except its usually much longer and sturdy... Use a cable like this instead of a straight micro usb vape charger... And it should work lol

try to hold power button until beeps 2 times and plug it up and press it if that doesn’t work hold share button and ps button while controller is unplugged until it starts blinking really fast and plug it in while in the menu option when pressing power button until beeping 2 times

Ayo hear me out! If you tried hard resetting, cable, safe mode, but it don't work, i got a solution!!! If you have another controller, go to settings, devices, and go to the controller that wont connect. Next, press options, then, forget device. Once you've done that, go to the controller that wont connect, press and hold the share button and home bottom on the controller until it flashes quickly. Once it does, refresh bluetooth devices, you should see your controller there, and connect to it. It worked for me! If you dont have another controller, you can do it on the app.

Guys this problem is caused by usb i did everything such as
-resetting controller
-restarting ps4
-even multiple usb cords
But there’s one in game stop specifically for recharge and data transfer it’s just 10$ it’ll really save all ur time

I had the same issue, but i solved it. I thought it won't work, but the only thing i did is move the AC piwer cord to close the ps4. And when I opened it and it was restarting and check system storage or bla blah blah. It actually worked.

Happened to me wouldn't work with power reset hard reset original controller cord but plug in 2 controllers into PS4 one that works and the other you have a problem with not connecting turn on the one that works and then turn on the other that doesn't connect try switching the usb's and if u have a tool to reset the controller from the bottom in a hole try that before these steps

For people looking for a solution to fixing the pairing problem with the controller on and not pairing do the following ( hard power shut off (unplug the power cord ) turn it back on and use a android charger do to high quality then a regular charger, then click the ps button and it should pair

So every one is saying that's its the cable or the Bluetooth antenna but it isn't basically just get a toothpick and there is a little hole on the back off the ps4 controller and put the toothpick in there for 10 seconds and retry and it should work.

Try using different chargers. If that doesn't work try another controller. And once u do that u can go to settings>devices>Bluetooth then get YOUR controller, hold the share and home screen button at the same time but before you do that make sure your blue tooth storage is cleared and there u go
