how to fix the EPC light on vw golf and Audi

to fix the EPC light . need to spray and clean the throttle body and throttle plug

I got that on a brand new throttle body today, first it runs fine, then all of a sudden 1100 rpm and EPC light, on a 1.6 Audi a3

When the epc light comes on it is not necessarily the the throttle body. epc light can come on due to bad abs sensor, bad brake pedal switch, bad steering sensor, air leaking between MAF and throttle body or an internal engine issue. You just happened to get lucky that it was a dirty throttle body. Most of the time it is not the issue.

my tiguan have the same issue, when driving and try to make a quick accelertion the EPC light up and car unable to accelerate. Stop on the roadside and startup, takes twice to start it up again. EPC still light up with restricted acceleration, set the gear to manual mode, it run much better between gears. Maybe I try to clean the TB to see whether it is dirty.

I did have it on my car Golf mk4 1.6 2003... i did cahge all the sinsors, just take of the battary cabels and leave it around 30min. Then put it back it wil dissaper

Can be fixed by changing ecu i have the epc and check engine light or i just should changed the throttle body?

All I did was unplug that sensor you show that’s in the throttle body and plugged it back in, now my epc light is on and traction control light

I had problem with epc light, in my seat altea 1.6 2008, when we checked on diagnostic that problem is break pedal switch, and I have changed switch, now is OK, but I sad what is happened to me, usually epc, or eps is problem vw.

I have cleaned the Throttle body and the sensor took it apart and clean it with throttle body cleaner and has the same issue might work for some but not this time for me
I have a p2637 code if anyone could help me
