Basics of Louis XIV, XV, and XVI styles

After purchasing two Louis XV pieces, I realized the rest of my decor follows a Louis XVI style at one of my airbnb after hearing your explanation. Hopefully, the mix creates a harmonious look, and no one will notice the difference!

I stumbled upon your channel while researching French furniture. . . and was quite happy that I did. In my late teens I developed an affinity for antiques and began collecting furniture 40 years ago. The pieces I purchased then continue to bring me joy even still. I adore French Furniture--especially those of the Louis VX and VXI periods. I have to say, Tony, you are very knowledgeable and certainly know your history. I have to watch more--so I just subscribed to your channel.

I think that French Louis XVI chairs are beautiful! Do u have any pictures of furniture and chairs from the, 1771-1791 era?

Originals period chairs have mostly lower seat than a copy.
