Omg I just realized that I naturally used to draw a lot as a kid to get out of freeze state. Kids sometimes know how to respond without knowing it 😊

Pls do more videos about FREEZE state and how to heal from it. I have struggled with this most of my life and want to live a fuller and happier life. I have so many things I want to accomplish

I've been guilty of over doing the healing stuff. I once meditated thrice that day. Then relapsed right back into my old avoidant ways . Do a tiny bit on a day. Like one deep breath. Don't go nuts.

I quit my nursing job a year ago because of the toxicity and being on call 24/7. I have been frozen since. I beat myself up all the time for being lazy, lethargic, etc fill in the blanks with all the bad names. I rarely leave the house. The Freeze condition sounds spot on. I will try these methods and try to redirect my mental discussion. Thank you for spelling this out.

I've just listened to this and found my eyes welling up with tears😢..I feel so sad that at 65 I'm struggling to believe in myself. To hear you say it's that my parents who were emotionally immature and not me is still difficult take on. I'm trying though...I have to find myself

I freeze whenever someone yells at me about something even though I didn't do it. My throat is closed, my heart is beating fast and I have hard time breathing and staying calm. The best thing I can do is... to YAWN. Apparently it helps relax the mouth muscles, the throat opens and also the yawning helps you to relax and not take it so seriously.

After seeing all the comments about people, swinging, I’m glad to know I’m not the only one at 44 years old who loves to stop by a park for a good swing. It is so relaxing. We definitely need more adult swings at the park.

4. Singing or humming
5. Hammocking/swinging
6. Fidgeting with a small item like a pocket stone
7. sledging (winter) or swimming (summer) - but it takes maybe too much effort to get started when in freeze mode

I used to draw. And sing. Naturally. All the time.

I’ve also found that swinging (like on a swing set) helps me a lot to “unlock”. Even as an adult, I love it.

I moved to Ireland from Vermont to get married to someone and live the rest of my life with him and it didn’t work out. I knew enough to leave and come back to my home but I’ve been in a fresh state for about eight months now combination adrenaline, anxiety and worse some panic attacks. It’s strange because I’m surrounded by woods a beautiful home three cats, plenty of friends but I can’t relate to any of it much. Your video has helped. I’m usually a very active person and I can’t wait to get back to my old self

Ha! I'm always circling my feet at the ankles, or sometimes doing figure 8s with my feet and legs

Qi gong is a practice that uses a lot of circular movements. It may help.

I am diagnosed with the avoidance & shutdown presentation of PTSD. When I am shutdown severely, I have no consciousness (severe dissociation) to make deliberate movement.

When I freeze yet still have consciousness, moving my hands in flowy ways helps to keep me present. I actually have on a few of my videos doing this when painting. I need to come out of a freeze state to process. I often do this with painting.

Lately, I've been craving coloring and have noticed my body wanting to do circles! Our bodies truly know how to heal. We just have to listen. Thanks for wisdom!
