The dielectric breakdown of air should be 3 x 10^6 V/m sir.

How would this work with multiple dielectrics? Would the jump-over be determined by the strongest or the weakest dielectric breakdown point? So if I were to have a multilayered film to put in between dielectric plates, would the energy jump over for all at once when it overcomes the dielectric strength of the strongest material, or start burning through the weakest one once it reaches their dielectric strenght?

Wonderful! Thanks Professor for another excellent lecture.

Is it correct to say that the higher the dielectric constant, the weaker the dielectric strength and vice-versa, or, is there some other relation between these two quantities?

Dielectric strength of air = 3, 000, 000 V/m. Thank you.

Please Sir !
in case of dielectric, why did you write "K" in this law σ=EKε and did not write it here E=V/d ?
