hi sir, i would like to ask regarding the insertion of the dielectric. when it's inserted further in, wouldn't the voltage change, due the weakened of the electric field.

what if the battery was disconnected when the dielectric was inserted? would that effect the charge as well as the voltage since there would be a potential difference between the two halves?
