I remember when the demo of fnaf 3 came out and I at first glance thought Springtrap was a bear...and it looked like a worn down snuggle bear from those laundry commercials.

That’s..salvage. Not FredTrap. Plus, Springtraps head is tilted at an angle in the image, so it makes sense that he wouldn’t look the same when the image was mirrored. It’s the EXACT same model that we saw in FNAF 3.

That character was called "Savage". In that time, alaways the principal mascot was a Freddy or a Bear, so, all of the people though that this was also a bear.

Its the lighting. Its not a beta model or ‘fredtrap’. People have overlayed springtrap and it fits perfectly

Back then I had no idea what it was supposed to be and always thought the people saying it was a bear were crazy, we could barely see the face

He was tilting his head, so when you mirror it, the so called “teeth” shown is actually just the inside of his mouth opened. You can also see the wire on his right eye where springtrap’s own is as well confirming it’s springtrap.

at the end of "die in a fire" there is like a half second glimpse of one of the first models of springtrap, and though while mirroring this image, making it kinda look like a bear, it is meant to be apringtrap, just an updated version. springtrap went through like 15 (do not count me on this, just an example) different phases before they finally came out with the final result, which we experience in fnaf 3, but even then, after the game was posted, new versions were still made.
