Strange sounds #3

This is about 25 minutes after the noises started.... these rumbling pulses are so intense, you can feel them in the ground, but the sound seems to come from the sky above the Ohio river..

Where abouts near the Ohio River do you live? I live near Cincinnati, not very close to the river but kind of close and I have heard this exact same sound a couple times late at night, not as loud though so it sounds kind of in the distance. Never figured out what it was or where it was coming from.

Thats the sound of something heavy in a dryer...its late at night in a quiet neighborhood...somebody put their shoes in the dryer.

Thank you for uploading this....I live in Hamilton ON and we hear weird sounds like your.s..the sounds in the sky sounded like popcorn, also there was no thunder to coinside with the sound..which made it more strange.

Any hydro-fracking for natural gas in that area, say within 20km or so? See papers about low frequency seismic activity caused during and after pressurization of frack wells, This has got me looking. These sounds make me uncomfortable. I'm pretty sure it's not a good sound no matter what it is.

I've only heard a rumble that's constant, but it also has similar qualities. Awesome, thanks for recording it! I have heard similar noises to this in the past however, never did figure out what they were. Cool vid, great sound.

I heard the same thing in Colorado, but during the day around the same time we had an earthquake in Trinidad. I also heard the same sound but more constant and higher pitched during the tokyo quake.

I think it's a really big pump. I used to operate a 5000 gal/s pump on the Danube river in Romania - the damn thing vibrated hard enough to turn the intake pond into a giant speaker - and it sounded exactly like that.

I've heard it in Sweden too. There are two individual pulses, one is slightly faster than the other. Heard it 3 times now. Once in the day.

It sounds like a GIANT dryer with GIANT shoes in it, lol. I've been hearing a strange noise in the sky in Georgia, but it sounds more like a Jet Plane.

I live in Miami Florida and I hear that all the time around 1-4 am at first I thought it might be garbage trucks but then I said they can't be picking up garbage for that long. I am very interested in this sound and many people are hearing it through out the world.

That is totally crazy! I've been reading about people hearing this in the NW coast for quite some time. This is the first time I hear it though. I honestly can tell you that I would be scared s***'less if I heard that. Try to keep us posted please. Also mention when they start and stop. Some people have mentioned that the sound is consistent with a specific time of night. I really look forward to hearing from you and seeing your post. ^__^

The sound of thundering drums can echo for miles and seem to come from the sky. These are definately drums and they are slowly increasing in speed. Its all good. I recognize even poor rythm.

definite rhythm, kinda sounds like a slow moving train but then the rhythm picks up, like its practiced

i live in windsor ontario canada and ive been hearing rumbling that fades in and out and causes my windows to rattle slightly. happens at random times of the day or night even in the early morning? seems to last for around 20 mins average. thought it was just a local thing, but people all across my county are hearing it. our ministry of environment which is part of the provincial government says they have been receiving hundreds of calls from people and cannot locate its origin.

That is the scariest sound I have ever heard! It sounds almost like a huge breathing and heart beat, and it got louder as he crossed the street. Did they ever find out what it was?
