Astronomers detect Radio Signal from Galaxy at record-breaking distance

Using the data from the Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope (GMRT) near Pune, astronomers of the IISc Bengaluru and McGill University Canada detected a radio signal emitted by atomic hydrogen in an extremely distant galaxy. Although, it is the first confirmed detection of strong lensing of 21 cm emission from a galaxy. 21 cm emission is a direct tracer of the atomic gas content in both nearby and distant galaxies. However, this radio signal is extremely weak. It is nearly impossible to detect the emission from a distant galaxy using current telescopes due to their limited sensitivity.

I am very very proud of our hardworking and knowledgeable engineers and scientists, they are making India proud. But we as Indians should also look at the facts that their salaries are lower than their counterparts in US and Europe, Second thing we should improve is their access to even more sophisticated equipments and R&D labs, basically they should be given every resource they want by Indian Government for the betterment of India and whole world. Last thing that I wanna them to have is a bigger "Deep Space Network" and a bigger "GMRT".
I request as an Indian citizen to Indian Government that Please Please look forward to boost these things and employment, you can still win election by promoting these things in India rather than promoting politics of religion.
