This video is part 5 of a 5 video series that teaches basic computer programming concepts using the Python computer programming language. This video teaches basic computer programming concepts using only the ArcGIS Pro Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software environment. If you are interested in GIS and learning how to get started with computer programming, this video series will help you grow your skill set.

The five videos discuss the following topics:

Video 5 (this video): Modules and Imports concept discussion and demonstrations of these concept in ArcGIS Pro software, What Next after these videos, and video summary.

Video 1: Video Overview, Scope of computer programming concepts discussed in the five part video series (Variables, Lists, Conditional Statements, Definitions, Looping, and Modules ) What is Python, A Tour of Python in ArcGIS Pro (ArcGIS Pro ships with Python IDLE, Python window, Export Model Scripts, Field Calculator, Label Class, Notebooks in ArcGIS Pro (v2.5) (Jupyter Notebooks), Python Manager, ArcPy)

Video 2: Basic Computer Programming Concepts: Variables, Operators, String Concatenation and demonstrations of these concepts in ArcGIS Pro software.

Video 3: Basic Computer Programming Concepts: Lists and demonstrations of this concept in ArcGIS Pro software, Conditional Statements and Definitions concept discussion.

This was a really helpful overview. I'm kind of going in from the opposite perspective, as I am learning python for fun, and looking for ways to use it at work so I have an excuse to practice during my work day! As my work is focused on design and planning, I've always wished there was a way to make scaled sectional elevations of terrain and export them as CAD and/or vector files (in uni we were taught to use the sight-lines feature to create sections from elevation data but these aren't drawn to scale). As I get better at coding and GIS, one of my goals is to program a solution for this! Thoughts and ideas on this would be very welcome.

Dear sir, great tutorial video. I do enjoy it. Anw, I would like to get your suggestion if I want to count the building along the road that have no water distribution in the city since some roads have pipe network and others not have. Please give me some advices. Thanks
