Wrangling Data and Visualizing Patterns with Python and GIS

Every map relies on wrangled data, and spatial analysis often starts with a little (or a ton of) data exploration. This session covers a few examples using Python and Jupyter Notebooks to wrangle election participation data, as well as running a few exploratory methods in ArcGIS Pro. But really, I just wanted to chat with folks and reconnect.

Alberto, I was lucky enough to be watching the stream live, and that was one of the best presentations I've seen in a long time - informative and entertaining. I've used ArcGIS Desktop a fair bit but not yet made the move to Pro seriously, and 'Python' has been on my to do list for a while. Your demonstration has really inspired me to go ahead and have a play about with Jupyter notebooks. Thanks again for taking the time to be part of the online event.

This is my first intro to python (though I always knew I'd have to get around to it) and I must say, I am dreading it a lot less lol this was great!

Alberto, Quick question. How do you go about incorporating Alaska into the data frame?
