Ukraine's battlefield e-scooters giving special forces extra stealth

Ukrainian special operations forces have had such success with their use of e-scooters on the battlefield they have requested more.

The Mosphera e-scooters, billed as the "world's first electric scooter for military purposes", is powerful enough to be considered a "standing motorcycle".

Since delivery of the vehicles in 2023, they've proven so effective on the battlefield that up to 70 more have been requested by Kyiv.

We laugh, but honestly with some good suspension and less rattle from the frames, these are ideal for quiet and quick infil/exfil. Just as big as a bicycle but much more capable. I have rode escooters not applicable to wooded terrain through them by pushing with your foot with a small amount of throttle.

I still don't see any advantages of scooter over a motorcycle. Why don't add a seat to them? This will make an overall profile lower and make it more controllable.

Back during the 80's I used to hunt deer on public lands. You weren't allowed to drive piston driven vehicles off of designated roads, so you either hunted close to where your parked or you walked further in than everyone else. Then we started using bicycles and were able to travel a lot further. But, carrying a deer on your back, while riding a bicycle was rather hard. I hear that today they use E-bikes that have racks built over the rear tire to carry their deer. Things sure have changed!

My electric bike…lasts about 2 hours flat out on a smooth road. Gear it down, big tires, heavy load, rough road/terrain. Probably 30 min. Tops.
Then….of course you just plug it into the nearest birch tree.
If the military was any sort of serious, they would have stripped down 90cc cub motorcycle’s. Yeah..the ones that show the whole Vietnamese family and a huge bundle of sticks…all on it going down the road.
Gas….is still king.
Gas can be delivered to the front. Electricity?
