A perfect storm is brewing in the United States.
Inflation, bank collapse, severe drought in the agricultural belt, recession, food shortages, diesel fuel and heating oil shortages, baby formula shortages, available automobile shortages and prices, the price of living place. It's all coming together and it could lead to a real disaster towards the end of this year (or sooner). With inflation currently at about 6%, my primary concern is how to maximize my savings/retirement fund of about $300k which has been sitting duck since forever with zero to no gains.

The Military complex takes a huge portion of our taxes. Much cutting needed there. You can chop it in half and we'd still have a bigger military than any other country and actually take care of our citizens.

Republicans want to cut veterans health care, child care, preschool, medical research, public health, food, drug safety inspectors, Pell Grants, college work-study, K-12 education, environmental protection, housing, and transportation programs. The cut to these programs would make millions of Americans suffer. Can we talk about how to increase the budget??? The large tax cuts to the billionaires during Trump days is one of the major reason we have this issue now. If we do not pay our bills, the U.S. dollar would be hurt for all time and the stock market will probably crash and we will lose trillions in foreign investments over night. The dollar in your pocket will be worth less over night, are we seriously willing to do this to our own country?

Article 1.8.5 of the Constitution, @wapo, requires America "to coin Money" which "should include printing." If America was Constitutional in all areas of governing we would Not be borrowing money from the Federal Reserve bank. This is not how the USC intended the nation to work nor be govern as I read the Constitution.

The White House proposes a budget that reduces the deficit. House Republicans then say the White House is doing nothing to reduce the deficit.

They cannot agree on what reality is.
