The Murdaugh double murder mystery shook the South Carolina low country when Maggie and Paul Murdaugh were gunned down outside their own home in June 2021. As the investigation unfolded, eyes turned to the patriarch of the family, Alex Murdaugh, a fourth-generation lawyer in Hampton County who was once revered as a trustworthy and powerful man of law. News of other suspicious deaths, civil lawsuits, and stolen money connected to the Murdaugh family elevated concern among locals who started to believe the family could easily make things disappear. Nearly two years after Maggie and Paul were shot to death, in March 2023, a jury found Alex guilty of executing their cold-blooded killings -- a judge sentenced him to life in prison. The disbarred lawyer is now facing over 100 other criminal charges related to his admitted financial trickery. The Law&Crime Network's Angenette Levy and Jesse Weber break down the entire twisted story of Alex Murdaugh, the disgraced lawyer who killed his family to save himself.

It's bad enough to kill people you hate; but to kill people you love....well, that's another level of evil.

Crazy to think if this happened 20 years ago, he might have gotten away with it. That snapshot video was the nail in the coffin for AM.

you started your story wrong.
he's not the man accused of killing his wife and son, he's the man CONVICTED of killing his wife and son.

After watching this for 6 weeks and he was found guilty, I’m still watching these videos all day! I just can’t understand why he killed his wife and child! Just an evil monster!

To think a dog and a chicken are the cause of annihilating his alibi is crazy. All his lies caught up to him when that video showed up.

Bravo to the Judge who emphasized Alex's actions in sentencing, "And for Paul Murdaugh, whom you probably loved so much, i sentenced you to prison for murdering him for the rest of your natural life."

Shelly the caregiver is clearly fearful of testifying. She’s speaking so softly.

AM appeared to love his family, yet he ruthlessly murdered his son and wife. Can you imagine Paul and Maggie's terror when they each realized that AM was going to murder them right then and there.

Don’t people get it, he was there at the dog kennels a couple of minutes before the crime. We all heard his voice that was taped by Paul and he lied about being there until he found out about the recordings

Thank you guys for compiling something like this. I have been wanting to keep up on the trial with the multitude of videos you had coming out, but don't have time for every court scene. Keep up the great breakdowns!

A narcissist thinks he is the smartest person in the room. Of course he took the stand. I never had a doubt that he would ( as a therapist).

In early prison phone conv w Buster, Alex asked B. if he was going to go hunt doves at Moselle. B. said "no." If AM thought vigilantes killed Maggie & Paul, why would he want Buster to hunt there?

One phrase I wouldn't mind not ever hearing again: "BLEW HIS BRAINS OUT"

Alex stayed with all those different people as a means of control. That's what narcissists do. He needed to make sure that his ruse was working and he could ensure that by controlling the narrative around those who had a place in his life. He even wanted the police to talk to Maggie's parents to suggest that he was not a suspect. Cunning
