Better than VLC Player? (for professional video)

Sometimes VLC player gives me problems when I try to play back my 10-bit H.265 video files. So instead I've been using MPV player, and so far it seems to be working really well!

For me works perfectly H.265 in VLC and standard Windows media player. Laptop Specification: i7 10th and GTX 1650 Max-q

It worked for me. I though my laptop was not good and strong enough to play those 4k videos.
I bought a brand new camera but my laptop wouldn't play the footage. but this MPV player is a game changer. Thanks man. Saved me thousands of bucks from buying a new laptop. ♥♥

It comes to drivers and video codec on your device actually. Also hardware too but unless you're using ancient machine that struggles to play 1080p h264 video format, can't really help you there.

I saw your video two weeks ago about your issues editing. I left the same comment, but I wasn’t sure if you saw it. I use premier pro on a Ryzen 9 6900hs laptop. I’m only 13, but I know 15 seconds is stupid slow. I have a few half hour long 4K videos and they don’t sitter a bit. I do have a dedicated gpu (rx6800) if your pc does not have a gpu, that could be the problem. If you do, I would install the newest drivers you can and do a clean install to remove the old ones

When that happens to me I just run it through premiere pro and it's fine, but that cost money. There's other ways to do it like you suggested. good vid for people that don't know and are leaning

Yeah I've switched to using Celluloid instead of VLC on my Linux Mint. Seems to have less bugs when playing videos too.

I used it on my tv for streaming, the frame rate drops so bad
But vlc still smooth like always

Disable hardware acceleration in VLC. If you have enough fast enough cores available, it will play fine. It likely means your GPUs video decoder ASIC can't handle something about the encode.
