If I started over on twitch, I would gear my livestream content to be used as youtube content. Meaning, I would come up with ideas for compelling youtube videos beforehand, prep whatever I need to do it live, then do it live. Which then that stream would be chopped up into the said video ideas. I'd then further edit them and create shorts.

The bit about not being a degenerate was much appreciated. Shouldn't have to be said, but unfortunately it does. Great video, keep killin' it and enjoy Hawaii.

That ending message is the reason why I watch your YouTube videos. Thank you so much for encouraging and empowering others to be positive in today's troubled world. Godspeed to you, Harris.

As a fairly new YouTuber/ Streamer I will wholeheartedly say that your videos give the best advice. When I first started back in March of this year I binged almost all of your suggestions, streaming, lighting etc. videos and it opened my eyes to the complexity of it all. I started with just an Xbox and with the help of friends and small sponsorships I have a pc. Thank you for all of the tips that got me where I am now :)

This is very useful, I stop streaming after college and lately i've been trying to get back into it, but it harder now when my music career has taking a big spike!

For the clip automation, the Twitch plugin has a clip function that will take a 30 second clip of your stream. I've usually been able to clip the moment I wanted to clip and even if the clip wasn't quite correct, I have the the ability to go from the clip right to the spot in my stream the moment happened and clip what I wanted from there.

Thank you for always trying to help the smaller creator Harris, I’ve already put into action some of what you’ve said in this video which makes me now think I’m on the right path :)

I use to stream 3x times a week and try to be live for 4 hours each time on twitch but truth be told that wasn’t good for me, it just wasn’t possible with my daily routine sadly but since I moved over to YouTube I’ve started streaming once a week for about 2 hours and have already noticed a positive difference + I have the time to create 3x long form videos each week on top of that.

I’m going to see what 2x streams a week is like for me next on this platform and then start getting back into YT Shorts and recycle that content into TikToks :)

I started streaming about a year ago. Affiliated after 4 months, and just got over 200 followers. I still wait for videos like these so i can learn more on what i can do better

I've been fortunate with me streaming as a "bonus" on twitch, to my normal long form content on youtube. Might only average 40-50 viewers per stream, but the conversations we have are so much fun. And I make a little side-money doing it. I don't even know how to "plan" something that could turn into a clip or short. Wouldn't even know where to begin to think about that. Sometimes funny things happen. I clip them, turn them into vertical format and share them on all the other platforms. But I don't put a priority into it.
Hope my strategy continues to work for a while :)

As an indivdual that streams to literal no one and too lazy to try and make an effort to expand whatever it is I'm doing is honestly gonna stay that way cause of the way I am. But I'll take these tips with some salt, consideration and hopefully I'll attempt to apply them in the future. Much love & much respect to the streaming daddy!

FOR MAKING TWITCH CLIPS:
No stream deck or similar periph? Dont want to download software onto your device? Can’t/don’t want to physically write down timestamps?

Do this instead (tho I def recommend the stream deck): Bring up the alarm on your phone and open the Stopwatch option. Hit start the same time you go live. Every time you want to mark a “Clip Later” spot, hit the “Lap” button in the app.

Voila! A list of all the timestamps you want to look at after stream. I’m pretty sure on the iPhone you can even make it a widget that will show on your Lock Screen, but I could be mistaken.

Oh, and no need to worry about closing the app. The Stopwatch will continue running until you hit “Stop.”

That vertical plugin is such a blessing, I'm truly grateful for it and this video as well

Found my 2 platforms, YouTube and TikTok 😊 I only stream 1 day a week on YT and do long from videos and chop them both up for shots and TikToks. I think I’m alright considering 😅 always appreciate your videos Harris, hope you enjoy Hawaii

I just started streaming on twitch recently but not for money. Its a hobby of mine and i don't work with a schedule. So the streams are at random. Still figuring out how things work and still trying to improve my layout in OBS. However i already always set up the title for the next stream in advance so that viewers know what to expect including the category. Also english is my second language so its a challenge to speak english because i'm more used to typing in english.

There is also another challenge for me because i'm still living with my parents and when they are home i barely can speak into my mic because they don't like loud noises when they are upstairs so i'm trying to stream when they aren't home or if they both are downstairs.

And the third challenge is the fact that i'm shy and sometimes have difficulty with communicating but it slowly improves a bit.

The first 2 streams were pokemon TCG cards unboxing, but the third stream i'm planning will be a romhack that i will be playing.
I only got like 2 or 3 watchers during the my first or second stream but they were gone quickly. However after both streams stopped i noticed in the following days that i had more views quickly and the second stream which was like a hour and something long did get more views than the first video. The first stream was like 4 hours long.

So for some reason my streaming videos are treated like what happens on youtube. Most of the time people only watch my videos after the stream has stopped.

This was really helpful, lately i struggle to keep up energy to stream after work so i reduced it to 2 days a week to have a more fun stream, while posting 3 shorts/tiktoks daily. Longer videos are something i need to work on as well. Next im going to look into multistreaming :)
