Sure they do, just maybe not in your genres. Especially if its a game coming out in the near future, I will watch endless hours of someone playing strategy games. But unlike games like Apex or Fortnite, that represents not even one playthrough and ... as a strategy gamer, we're used to our games taking like ... 20+ hours to resolve. My current game of Stellaris has been played for like 4 hours a sitting (in multiplayer) over like 8 weeks.

I mean, it doesn't invalidate the advice. It does change it, I think for that niche case, in which it's super important to have narration in those cases. Which I take as the real #1 to mean that you need a personal presence in your stream, otherwise it's not a social experience.
