Page 1507 of The MacArthur Bible Commentary regarding Romans 1:20, John MacArthur writes "If a person will respond to the revelation he has, even if it is solely natural revelation, God will provide some means for that person to hear the gospel."

IF a person will respond??? Isn't that a contradiction of Total Depravity which teaches a person can't respond?

then God WILL??? Isn't that a contradiction of Unconditional Election which teaches God already did? He already chose the elect before the foundation of the world.

Under the EDD calvinist view, we are marionettes. We move only as we are told, from time eternal, and we will be judged for moving thusly. I am only speaking for myself but the calvinist view made me feel hopeless. Why bother with anything when you are already judged? I read more and more scripture for myself and realized that God is not my puppet master, he sent me deliverance from my chains or puppet strings as it were. We have our hope in Christ! Thank you Lord for your deliverance and ministry to the lost!
