There's a easier way to fix this problem it works on pretty much every washing machine unplug the washer for a min plug it back in after the 1min then lift the lid up 6times about 3" make sure it clicks so I know it's open so that 6 times in less then12-15 sec after the 6th time set your knob to rinse an spin or drain an spin that should work

Been there...doing that. My Roper direct drive does the thoughtful hum during agitation. Nerve wracking.
