My riot client is not running. I close it when I open task manager. Yet when I go to add or remove programs and try to uninstall league of legends for some reason riot client pops up saying riot client is still running. Not sure what to do. I close it in task manager and it pops up again when I try 2 uninstall.

i really dont understand!? i close riot and vanguard client and then i click uninstall and i have literally closed both clients there is nothing when search riot in the task manger UNTIL WHEN I CLICK UNINSTALL!!??? the riot client pops up in the task manger! and it does all this so it can tell me that the client is still running!!!?? YEAH NO DUH! this is so unbelievably ridiculous! im stuck in a cycle of closing and clicking uninstall just for it to open again!!?? AND TELLING ME TO CLOSE THE CLIENT!!!??? so you would think uninstalling the riot client whould work RIGHT!??? WELL NO because YOU NEED TO UNINSTALL ANY RIOT GAMES YOU HAVE ON YOUR PC WHICH I CANTTT UNINSTALL!!??? LITERALLY!!! WHAT!!! valorant as it seem right now is STUCK on my pc thank you sooo much riot

EDIT: it has been uninstalled someone in the comments said to install revo uninstaller and uninstall it there it worked for me

if it's still not working then go into your task manager, then find riot client in background apps, the right click and end task then you could uninstall 😅

For Any one that still cant uninstall Valorant, go into the riot client sign in and below languages in the settings, make sure to change it so that it does not run on startup, and also that it EXITS THE APLICATION when you exit out. this worked for me. also make sure to uninstall Valorant through control panel. and too close it through task manager before uninstalling if the riot client is still there

for you guys who still confused, check the setting on the riot app, there will be option that makes this piece of shit app running on the background. click that off, exit, then uninstall
