How to Use PS4 Controller on PS3! *EASY METHOD* (WIRED AND WIRELESS)

NO ADAPTERS NEEDED! I show you how to use the dualshock 4 controller wired and wirelessly on ps4! As long as you have a ps4 charger cable, it's very easy to do!

I knew this already. But unfortunately some games dont support a ps4 controller. Because PS3 sees it as just a third party controller. So there wont be any vibration either.

This tutorial was very short and to the point, which was exactly what I was looking for. Another thing you could do is, if you don't have an extra controller besides the ps4 controller, then what you could do is use the wired method to get to the bluetooth menu, then after you start scanning for the ps4 controller wirelessly, then you would unplug it and then make it enter wireless mode

It actually worked, I'd recommend the wireless route. Plugging in the controller only works if u kept it plugged in from my personal experience.

Thank you so much for this! My older sister (she’s 23) has gotten interested in gaming, she’s using my old ps3 to play last of us OVER AND OVER! The controller got all gummed up so I took it apart to clean it, put it back together and I don’t put the bumpers on correctly… and then we moved. And forgot the mini tool kit. So she’s been devastated.

So I got her a fresh ps4 controller til I can surprise her with a ps5 next week; she’s estatic!

Thank you so so much dude. My PS4 is in shop getting fixed and I wanted to play my PS3 in the meantime, however I didn't have a functioning PS3 controller. I do have 2 ps4 controllers and hooked up one wired to navigate and linked the other via Bluetooth, works awesomely. Time to play the first Red Dead Redemption, I'm pretty excited actually.
