If you want someone to answer the phone in your front office, you don't need to hire a telephony engineer who knows the ins and outs of how the system works. Rather, you need people who can be courteous to the #customer and have a customer-centric attitude.

The same goes for building AI teams.

In big companies typically the platforms/product teams hire data scientists as they have data logs, not more downstream teams. But it sounds nice to have one in your payroll for cocktail convos for various leaders. We had actually hired one 2 years ago and gave him basic resource planning projections and such, he ran off in one year.
