I just read a comment that baffles me. I normally don’t pay attention to negative comments but this comment makes no sense to me. I’m sure others will agree that we love Bordeaux Life not only because of Edd and Anna and Charles and Emma….we love the idea of RESTORING old things. And that’s exactly why Edd and Anna bought this latest restoration property and why they bought those beautiful chairs.

And let me take this one step further. I live in the United States and I can tell you we tear buildings down that we shouldn’t and we throw old things away. I would not put us at the top of the list when it comes to Recycling and saving the planet earth. Kudos to the Europeans who take pride in their history !

Where would we be if we threw away every beautiful piece of furniture that exists in Europe? Where would we be if we tore down every old building?

Bravo to Bordeaux Life. Edd and Anna are wonderful genuine people but they are also very smart. And you just wait….those chairs are going to be beautiful and so will the “ruin” ! And because we are dealing with smart experienced restorers I guarantee Edd and Anna will not lose money in the process.

As an antique furniture restorer for fifty years before I retired I always enjoy your trips to the antique market. I was right about the price Anna paid for the sofa and chair set. I feel that it will need a complete break down and re-glue for it to be solid again. Looking forward to seeing it repaired and reupholstered.

Haha! Love how you told nit-picky armchair renovators to take a hike! Love the beautiful iron door! It’s going to add so much character to the building! Curious, why do some people hang curtains in front of those doors? Bummer about the beams and lost time and materials but the place is looking amazing already!

Well said Edd my Dad was a builder for 45yrs, and like he said you all have your own ways of building of course to the Regs . I have nothing to say about your building knowledge except well done xx. Love the door yo have bought and at a good price too. Things have moved on with the build. Loved watching Edd and Anna😘😘
