I use SPS swing. I follow Kirk Junge. Great instructor. I tried Graves, lost distance and more back pain, especially now at 67 years young. With Kirk’s method, less pain, more consistency.

I started the single plane swing before I knew it was the single plane swing. Read somewhere how to hit straighter and it worked for me. Initially used it only while driving, but am trying to use it full time now.

Started this journey almost a year ago.
Gone from a 19 hcp to a 6.
Incredibly better ball striker now.
Will never go back to a complex traditional swing.
Now if I could learn to eliminate three putting.

Thanks for sharing your journey on SPS with us. I’m a tinkerer thus my swing changes quite a bit since I started playing golf. To the point, since adopting SPS I lowered my HC by 6 strokes. Mainly, like you experienced, the shot dispersion is way more tight. Keep the trail foot down after impact and you will notice more accuracy. Very best to you in 2022!

i shot 102 last week with my old swing creeping back in, couldn't move around for 2 days without back pain after either.
yesterday i went back to the SPS and shot 81 with zero back pain today😃.
as awkward as SPS feels it works every time.
i actually lose distance with driver/3 wood but gain a full club in the irons, definitely due to finding the centre of the face.
after feeling great the day after i was straight back on these videos to make sure i stick to this method.
not just for the more consistent scores but the painless play.
i feel i could comfortably play again today with zero pain.

Look up Graves golf I’m a single plane swing guy since this past winter of 2023 I’ve played 4 rounds this spring dropped my round from 80’s to low 70’s

I know this was done a few years ago, I too use the single plane swing now and as a beginner last year I used the conventional swing and was over 120 per round. I saw Todd graves single plane swing videos and have hit more consistently and farther and now my rounds are between 80 to 85! I love it

Thanks for sticking with it to do a thorough and unbiased review. I tend to agree with you that there really has to be some variation in certain single plane swing parameters… for example, stance width and distance from ball should naturally vary somewhat based on a persons height (maybe some % scale factor at least).. it seems wrong to try and impose specific dimensions at setup for people of all sizes.

I am 60 years old, 5 foot six tall and in reasonable shape. I switched to the single plane swing in mid 2020. At that time i was playing off a handicap of 11 - 12. By the end of 2020 I was playing off single figures for the first time in my 40 years playing golf. Got it as low as 8 but mostly playing off 9 occasionally 10. I have continued to work on it and by the middle of 2021 I was regularily playing off 7 even getting down to 5 for a round or two. To get lower I need to improve my putting and short game in general but i am living proof that the single plane swing can improve your game greatly. I hit it further, higher and straighter than I ever have. Its a revelation. I have enjoyed watching your videos and hope you stick with the single plane swing. By the way i still hit that straight block out to the right occasionally. For me its caused by the ball creeping back towards the centre of my stance at address. Club face has not yet squared up. Well done this year, Chad. We've all had the chance to see you test out different products and different golf swing paradigms. This has been a huge help to me. For now, I'm sticking with the single plane swing ... works well for this senior golfer.

Congratulations Chad - your SPS is really progressing and I suspect when you stretch your left lateral coming into impact (5:34) you'll pick up some more yardage. Thanks for sharing - happy golf trails.

So rewatched all the videos in the series and I’m really impressed. Your swing looks great! I feel like we’re alike in that we’re both athletic and can make almost any swing work but to me you look the best here and who can deny the results? I also feel you took the right approach in finding your own Moe swing. I was initially turned off to SPS by Todd Graves when I realized I would have to get new clubs or get my current clubs really changed. I felt once I started down the path I couldn’t easily turn back . The way you did it works for me as new clubs are not in the budget right now. Good stuff. Really enjoyed it. Going to the range to try it.

Partner, just stay with it. I have used it for over 20 years and never stuck the ball better. If I could putt I'd be "dangerous!" lol. Moe was the best.

The way you started describing that round I was expecting you to say you shot 81, that score when you’re not hitting it good is really impressive. Really enjoy your channel, have you done a video about what’s in your bag and why you’ve chosen the clubs and putter you use.
