Beautiful, the camouflage is gorgeous, and it showcases three of the snakes most unique features, the large fangs, the fast strike, and the incredible "holding" behavior because the snake is too slow and large to pursue prey

The only gaboon feature not here is their rectilinear motion, but still an incredible portrayal of my favorite snake

I have one as a pet! He’s actually super mellow and I absolutely adore the way he holds on to prey as he pumps it full of venom. He eats frozen thawed mice and chicks

Just saw one at the central Florida zoo! They get REALLY freaking big apparently. I’ve never been scared of snakes but that was very intimidating.

Gabbys are great. Not my favorite of all hot snakes, but top 5 for sure. I think I like timber rattlesnakes best. They come in several colors, look absolutely sinister, are generally easy going, and are native to my area.
