The Glorious Revolution before the American Revolution #history #europeanhistory #frenchhistory
Показать описание
King James II inherited the throne of England after his Brother Charles II suddenly died without an heir of his own.
James II became wildly unpopular and within 4 years of his rule he was deposed in what is known as "The Glorious Revolution". This led to a new Charter in the British Colonies of North America. One that would take the power to elect governors away from the colonial people. The governor would be instead appointed by the British Crown.
Of course, this led to tension that would build up in the colonies over 80 years until yet another Revolution took place, this time in the British Colonies.
