Number 1: Clove Oil

Clove oil is a great treatment for dry socket. It can lessen pain and prevent infections from further developing due to its anesthetic and anti-inflammatory properties.

Here's what you have to do:

rinse your mouth warm water to clean the socket

take a small cotton swab, dip that in clove oil and place the swab on the socket for about a minute. Then remove and rinse your mouth.

Repeat this a few times through the day.

Number 2: Salt Water

It is encouraged to rinse your mouth with warm salt water through the day. It can reduce swelling and pain, while the salt can help prevent any infection
Add 1/2 teaspoon of salt into 8 ounces of warm water. Stir until salt is dissolved. Rinse gently 2-3 times a day after meal.

Number 3: Cold Compress

One may also experience pain the jaw! A cold compress might. Cold temperature causes a numbing effect on the nerves, which inevitably reduce pain. Take a towel and dip it into cold water.

Now place it onto your face where you're feeling pain.

Hold the compress for about 15 minutes. Do this 4-5 times a day to reduce pain and swelling.

Number 4: Honey

Honey is packed with anti-inflammatory compounds, it is a natural antibacterial and can sterilize dry sockets.

Take a small cotton swab, dip that in honey and place the swab on the socket. Change the swab after every few hours.

Repeat this a few times through the day.

Number 6: Black tea bags

Black tea is packed with tannic acid which is a natural antibacterial agent that can reduce swelling as well as pain. Put a tea bag in hot water for about 5 minutes, remove the tea bag and squeeze it to remove the excess water. Let the tea bag cool in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes and then place it on the dry socket for 10 minutes, then use the tea you made to rinse your mouth.

Omg this is a life saver!! I had a bottom second from the back right side molar removed. 4 days later I blew the clot. Big hole I think I could see the bone. Was up all night with constant pain. In the morning I rinsed with heavy salt water. Then put a couple drops of clove oil in the socket and back gum where my wisdom tooth was as gum is swollen and sore there too. Clove oil is hot. Felt like I took hot pepper drops!! But oh boy does it work!! To the pain away. Feels clean and good breath. I highly recommend this! Also garlic oil works good too I'm told. Just don't plan to kiss anyone! Lol
