One UK method, at the end of the wall build is to have a layer of the same but with milk added. Or cream. This, when the smell goes, gives a smooth and more rain proofed finish. This can be used on the floor too. It gives a really nice polished surface that is water resistant. Cheers 🇬🇧

Beautiful and laborious work done to achieve a beautiful ecological cabin, congratulations to each of the collaborators in its construction. With great humility, just some recommendations for future similar ideas: for the mud mixture you could use the Ground cactus or cactus leaves instead of water, for greater cohesion and grip of the mortar. They could also use bamboo sticks, which are more resistant and lighter in the roof and structure. You could even include a clay oven attached to the wall on the back with ducts interconnected around the foundation, so that the interior is warmer. nice video, many successes in your projects. This is a positive community response to Nomadic America in our current economy. Building a Cobb House would work great for a beginner homesteader or a year around campground facility where rent or mortgage, electricity, garbage, water, sewer, was included. It would also be a positive community response for people who just enjoy traveling and living independently; it looks like a place like this would be a good place to visit and learn how to build. 😊

Oh God I wished I'd known about these when I was young I just absolutely love them and the creativity. I was young back in the seventies and built a log house in the mountains in Eastern Washington . Using the wall logs of the Cookhouse for the silver mine.
