My guess, based on the ‘dark sun in a white sky’ bit, would be that they were in discussions about making a game in the ‘Dark Sun’ setting- something they would no longer be doing, due to WotC being a horrendous, Pinkerton-hiring corporate abomination.

We run into notes and clues of Tarquin in Faerun. It's implied he met Lorroakan and somewhere down the line, Lenore and Tarquin met and havn't been seen since.

Because Tarquin is now a planeswalker, he likely may be encountered again in DOS:3 with Lenore among him. We don't know what to expect going forward but we'll get a canonical ending to DOS: 2 and going forward from there.

It could be Neverwinter. There’s a random npc that tells us we should go to Neverwinter, that there’s plenty of adventure for people like us to be had in there and that’s where his group is heading… but I only managed to prompt this dialogue once. Next time you talk to him it just says something completely different and neither him or any of his friends mention Neverwinter again. It would be fitting because he keeps saying they should get out of town and none of his companions want to leave Baldur’s Gate. His name is Zog or something… Anyway, I’m probably reading too much into this 😅

It's kind of dumb to say NOBODY has found them. Their are over 10, 000 people who play those games and I would say at least 10% of players are either hoarders or lore seekers. Now you could say nobody has posted finding them, but I can garente I found them because I was a lore seeker on my first playthrough of anything

Yeah fr I doubt that made enemies like harpies and other rare creatures only to be used once. BG3 was not only made to be a huge success but to pave the groundwork to make a whole new game off of the same engine. We might see BG4 in a couple or few years instead of what? 10?

It sounds like you either forgot about divinity 2 or something.. mind maggots were literally the things magistrates used in that game to make source-users their puppets. Surgically, they put the maggots in their brain. So that is unlikely a reference to balders gate, if it was then thats a poor reference because its something divinity 2 currently had in its lore.
